Beyonce sends out a love letter to Africa as she features top African artists in her new album Lion King : the gift.

Beyonce reveals the tracklist for her Lion King-inspired album titled The Lion King : The Gift.

This is a love letter to Africa , says she.

The album, containing 14 songs will not exclude some of Beyonce’s original tracks and collaborations with artists like Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, Pharrell just to name a few.

The Lion King: The Gift notably features a good number of African acts like Cameroonian superstar Salatiel, Nigerian Tekno, Yemi Alade, Mr Eazi, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Moonchild Sanelly, Busiswa, Ghanian Shatta Wale, and number one African bad girl Tiwa Savage.

Many people are looking up to listening to “Water” (Salatiel, Pharrell and Beyonce) and many more.

“The soundtrack is a love letter to Africa,” Beyoncé says to ABC.

“I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa. Not just use some of the sounds and do my interpretation of it. I wanted it to be authentic about what is beautiful about the music in Africa.”
